any of you ladies got one of these things? we do a lot of walking and i'm hoping it's going to come in handy when i get caught short and there are no convenient bushes around. just wondering if anyone has one and if they've found it successful.

Without googling it, I'm assuming it's a bottle or container of some sort you wee in? Then what do you do with it? Carry it round with you? And surely you'd still have to squat anyway?

No sorry, i'd rather just squat where I was if I was in the middle of nowhere.

I wish I'd known about this sort of thing when I was camping in the desert in Oz... The amount of minging things out there I'd have been more than happy to use something like this rather than squat! Although my obvious preference would be a toilet in a hotel... I'm not very good at camping :c(

you don't wee into a container boo, it's just a little elongated funnel so you can wee like men do standing up. also useful if you have dodgy knees or hips and find squating down a bit of a struggle.

I think I'd rather sqat - well until my knees will no longer allow me to! ;o}

I like the sound of it in theory- im still unsure about having to carry the thing around, especially after you've used it. But yes, I can see the appeal, or even necessity for one if you've got mobility issues.

I've seen the She-Wee website before.

I'm just not sure where you'd carry is once it had been used.

I think squatting down for a good lod "hedge wee" does the job

... (in cases of emergencies, obviously)

it comes with a zip-loc plastic bag for carrying it in after use, and you can also buy a rigid plastic case for it too, a bit like a larger version of those plastic tampax holders they used to give away free.
you don't have to aim into the funnel, you hold it against your body. they recommend you practice in the shower, so i did. worked a treat, i was just wondering if anyone had used it fully clothed, in a field or somewhere.

I have heard that unless the angle is completely correct it can result in wee on trousers and/or leakage around edge.

Seriously though - yes I know people who have found the shewee v, useful, and also on some of the travelling shop sites (I think perhaps Magellan or Travelling Light) you can get one with a container so you can wee in the car (v useful in the current 6 hour traffic jams here!). I did hear over the new year holidays that an empty Pringles box is a cheap substitute if you are desperate!
