Boots Hearplus hearing aid

Does anyone have one of these, do they work in noisy environments, i.e. pubs, restaurants? Is hearing clearer or are they the same as any other hearing aid ? Do they give any guarantee/money back if the aid doesn't work when you use it at home? Its OK to say it works when speaking just with one other person (ie. at Boots in a quiet environment) but it isn't the same when there are lots of people talking, background music, etc. I have tried hearing aids before but they are fairly useless in these situations. ALL the sounds become louder !!

Hearing aids just amplify sounds.......both wanted sounds and unwanted sounds.In other words in a noisy surrounding, the increase in sound level will confuse you.

smurf.....if you could tell me what sort of deafness you have, I might be able to help...?high tone loss, low tone loss or even middle tone loss.
