I prefer Christmas.
I like Summer for the longer evenings, it is nice to have longer periods of light.

oooh, so do I 4get, childhood memories of my Dad coming in from work with a big box of Standard Fireworks, and going out and collecting BONNA, anyone else call it that?
Autumn, the different leaf colours, seeing birds migrate in flocks to warmer climes.hedgehogs looking for places to hibernate, next year's flower and seed catalogues, allotment bonfires , and time to reflect on a job well done in the garden.
Question Author
if the weather is nice marval, so we can get the benefit from it, we have had vitually none this year up here
Hiya bobbi,
I like all the seasons. Spring, when things are just growing. Summer, warm days & nights, a cold lager. Autumn is beautiful, the colours of the trees, wrapping up in big chunky jumpers/skirts & boots & getting home feeling cosy! Winter, crisp mornings & looking forward to Christmas! Love them all x
Question Author
Brenda that was put so colourfully there, yes Autumn, but it's messy too lol
Question Author
hey sachs, you are a happy contented little soul, thats nice!
One of the nights I dont mind being cold. sticking as many jumpers on as I can hat, gloves scarf then eating hot jacket potatoes while watching the displays
Question Author
Remember as a kid, coming in after the Bonfire, stinking of smoke and black as a crow...lol
Happy days
Love bonfire night! :0)
I think all four seasons have their nice bits - I like christmas & cosy winter nights indoors & all that jazz - but my favourite time has to be Summer. I like the warmth and the sunshine. :-)
Question Author
I think people are nicer at Christmas, why can't it be like that all year?
Question Author
yes salla...lol
only if you go abroad, Do I sound bitter for not having any Summer?....to bl00dy right...LOL
Bonfire Night holds special memories for me - my son was born on 5th November
(No - I didn't call him Guy, as was suggested by the midwife - he'd not have forgiven me for it !!)
Sorry Joy, but I hate hate hate hate Christmas - there are cards in the shops NOW for gods sake.
The only thing I do like at Christmas is seeing peoples windows lite up with lights - I dress my windows with lights and they look lovely. Obviously when Glen was small that was fun - but thats about it - Christmas Day is just one round of hard work and stress.

I love Summer - hanging washing out and it coming in smelling fresh and dry - wearing summer clothes - light nights. In fact I think I should have been a tortoise, then I could hibernate for winter.
Spring and Autumn. I could quite happily miss out July/August and November/December. January and February are OK because Christmas, which I hate, is over and done with and I can look forward to Spring.

I am in my element today, a balmy autumnal day - I feel very happy in this weather.
................. but I wish it would rain. We have had about one day in two months and everything here (North Norfolk) looks very sorry for itself.
