I have a scar on the back of my hand which is pink and shiny and about the size of a pea. It was caused when i tried to save my friend from falling down some stairs and my hand scraped against the brick wall. At first the cut was indented as there was a chunk of my hand missing. This seems to have healed and there is only a slight dip. How could i make this scar fade a bit more as it is noticeable! thanks

You can buy plasters by elastoplast I think that you use on scars but I am not sure if it is fresh scar or not - try Boots  apparently they really work - I would imagine they will be a little expensive though

Kate86 have a look on http://www.decleor.co.uk/products.php and go onto launch products, select the catagory of all skin types, then the action is expert treatments and then click on prolegene.

I use to work with Decleor products and trained in them, they are aromatherapy based and this product is fantastic to minimise scarring i used it on my hernia scar every day and night for 3 months and it faded to the extent that i can hardly see it! You can also mix it with a day cream to reduce acne scaring it's good for anti ageing and you don't need alot of it either. This product is not that cheap i'm sure it is just over 20 but well worth the results.

PROLAGENE

ENERGISING GEL with Osmanthus

PROLAGENE, a complete skincare treatment, is essential in helping to smooth skin imperfections both natural and accidental. This exclusive Declor gel:
helps revitalize the support structure of the skin,
helps accelerate the skins renewal process,
 diminishes unsightly marks.
Applied with a light, ascending massage, this gel leaves a supportive and protective film on the skin. Day after day, your skin renews itself with increased tone and clarity.

You could also try Bio oil which is available from Boots/Superdrug. Good for scars, stretchmarks etc.

Try the gel scar treatment from boots, ive used it and it really does work. When i was 14 i had a really bad scar and the doctor told me to run vitamin E cream into it daily rubbing in the same direction. that seemed to work aswell, something about helping the scarred skin cells to line up and it becomes flatter, hope that makes sense!

Try natural lanolin (not thin but thick hard cream).  It works very quickly to lighten scars.
Another one is Dermatix. Never used it but I've heard it's very good.

Vitamin E oil and/or Palmer's Cocoa Butter.

Scars are cool though!
