looking slimmer

I am going away in five days and have been trying to lose weight and get more toned but, due to the fact that I love food it hasn't gone as well as I would have hoped. Has anyone got any brilliant tips I could use so that I at least look slimmer on holiday?

not in a bikini, but when you're dressed you could wear those undies that squelch everything in.

M&S do great shapewear to wear under regular clothes.

John Lewis sell the Miracle Swimsuit which makes you look a size or two smaller. Its fab!! I couldnt live without mine! lol

thanks for the advice, don't really have much money so the swimsuit and undies are probably out of the question, will have another check at what I'm taking and make sure it all makes me look good!
I would do as much exercise as I could, eat as much fruit and drink loads water.
Only take clothes you feel good in and tell yourself you look slimmer and good.
Hold your self in as you walk and I find wearing high heels helps me do that
Good posture helps a lot. Pull yourself right up to your full height, chin up, stomach in, shoulders back and relaxed. With good posture, you look, and feel, much slimmer. Try it.

Have a good time.
Those undies things only push the bulk to another area anyway so yes chose things you know you look good in. I have the same problem am off to south america next week and all my good intentions to exercise and diet didnt happen so hay ho who cares . food wine and adventure holiday here i come.

Thanks all, I do have terrible posture when I don't think about it so will endeavour to improve that over the next few days!
Wear only one colour in your outfit ,it slims you ....

ooh I didn't know that! Unfortunately I already have all my holiday clothes so will have to make do with what I've got but will remember that for future use!
Well I just don�t get those miracle suits, surely if it took me down 2 sizes I�d be an 8 on my tummy but still have size 12 on bottom and my thighs would then look huge.
five days still give you a chance of making yourself feel a bit better - dont do anything rash but just try and be really good until you go away. Don't let it worry you though just go and have a great time!
Stand in front of mirror and slouch....now tip your pelvis slightly forward , tuck your bottom under and pull your tummy half way in. lift up out from your hips and drop your shoulders away from your ears , rolling your shoulders back and down.....voila half a stone lost instantly.
Wear black as it is slimming
Get yourself a tan for the same reason (fake or real, they both slim)
Don't eat food that bloats you and makes your tummy stick out (berries are the only fruit that doesn't bloat,but also avoid white bread etc)
Take water tablets as I usually find I retain water on holiday, this will help keep off extra pounds gained by fluid.
i know exactly how you feel sophie, ive been tyring to lose some weigth for my holiday in 2 weeks and its not going how i hoped and ive noticed ive got loads of cellulite on my thighs. Anyway im not going to stress to much on it now because the way i look at it is 'theres bound to be someone who looks worse than myself' lol. I personally am drinking lots of water, body brushing and using dove moisturising self tan each day now to give myself a bit of a glow and to try and disguise my cellulite a bit.
As gok wan says 'its all about the confidence' so why dont you give yourself a manicure, freshly polish your nails and if you can affor it go and get a little haircut, it will make you feel a million dollars and you wont be so bothered about how you look so much in a swimsuit, thats what im going to do anyway lol. have a great holiday xxx

cheers all! have relaxed a bit now and am just in the mind set that unless theres a miracle I'm not going to look a whole lot different in five days than I do now so am just making the most of what I've got, am self tanning, exfoliating and moisturising to within an inch of my life!
Don't moisturise so much that if someone hugs you you pop out of their arms like a bar of soap!!

O.K Sophie, first of all trying is useless, secondly it's great that you love food, now does the food you love, love you back? Do you agree that the best relatonship is a 2 way process, of course you do. Now you've cracked it! All the people who have answered your letter have all said in different ways to love who you are, love your body and treat it to only the purest and loving things as you would your lover! Finally how would you look and what would you say to yourself now that you have the body, fit, healthy and full of energy, that you deserve. Get back to me and let me know.
