I rang my mother today, and the conversation went like this:

Me: Hi Mum.

Mum: Oh hello. What's the weather like over there?

Me: Boiling !!! Is everything ok?

Mum: Yes, we're all ok. Listen... I ate that bag of blueberries that you bought from M&S... But I'll buy you another bag when you get back.

Me: That's ok, I lost your Calvin Klein Sunglasses in the sea this morning...

Mum: **** ******** **** ******

Me: Gotta go now, Mum. Bye....

Have you ever dreaded ringing one of your parents?

Sorry to hear that Sara - I haven't always had a brilliant relationship with mine, and she and I are now more like best friends than mother/daughter...
i don't need an excuse to dread ringing my mother .

buy her another pair,preferably fake
Both of them actually - especially if had any news they'd demand to know if I told the other one first(they were divorced)

Tread phoning the mil incase she invites herself over and hubby will go mad and ask why I phoned her
it sounds like you have fun, at least it's a friendly relationship :o)

I love the relationship I have with my daughter, I didn't get on with my mum for very silly reasons.......she died a couple of years ago and I wish things could have been different......

I love the relationship I have with my mother now, Craft, but didn't love the relationship I had with her as a kid. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't all bad, but I was petrified of my mother when I was growing up. I never had a hiding for being naughty, I usually got a hiding because she was in a bad mood.

Do you have more than one daughter, Craft?
