Hi, It's difficult for me to get the doctors at the mo but I have a problem and would be grateful if someone could help.

I was on the contraceptive implant from January till June but decided to come off as I was getting irregular light bleeding.. after that I went onto the patch straight away but only used that a couple of weeks because I was getting throbbing pains in my arms and headaches aswell. Since coming off them both I have had a normal 4 day period followed by "mid month" pain straight afterwards.

I thought this was because my hormones were getting back to normal but it has been happening for over a week now. It feels like both my Ovaries and Fallopian tubes are hurting and its quite sharp. I noticed it was especially bad yesteday when i bent my legs up towards my stomach. I have been tested for STIs and have none. Plus I'm too young for a cervical cancer test. I just wondered if anyone had had the same problem?

I had something similar only my periods stopped all together. I was back and forth with my gp for months until i demanded a scan. It turned out that i had polycystic ovaries. I suggest that you also demand a scan as it sounds like you may have cysts or ulcers on your ovaries.

its stopped now :S I think it could have been because i'd only just come off the contraceptive hormones so my body was getting back to normal. If the pain comes back then i'll suggest that but the doctor I saw was pretty crap lol. Thanks
