I wonder if anyone can help. I have had the following symptoms and treatment since June 2015 but no diagnosis :( I am starting to wonder if it is food related but don't know where to start in order to find out.
* constant pain mainly in lhs base(almost under) of rib cage, bit like a stitch.
* pain sometimes radiates to belly button.
* occasional pain in same area on rhs.
* Bouts of bloating
* frequent wind
* excessive tiredness
* lower back pain on lhs
* occasional itchiness on ribs front and back
* pain increases after eating

Treatment has included ultrasound of ovaries and abdomen, chest X-ray, ct scan of abdomen, 2 weeks treating it as Ibs even though dr is adamant it isn't that but is trying to eliminate. Scans show polycystic cysts on kidneys but dr is sure that my pain isn't common to that felt by cyst sufferers.

Any ideas?

I presume that after all those investigations, you have seen a Consultant at the hospital.
Polycystic kidneys cannot be ignored as a diagnosis, but as you haven't mentioned any problems with your "water works" e.g blood in the urine or UTI.s then it makes it less likely as a cause.

Infact those symptoms could be due to a multitude of diagnoses and "guessing" would be just that...guessing.

Go back to your GP or Consultant, perhaps an MRI scan but do not let those symptoms rest without further consideration.
gallstones? possibly stress Ibs
