Any suggestions on how to clear the skin from acne scarring.  Many chemical peels on the market - has anyone tried them? Was it effective?  Are they suitable for asian complextion?

Hi Sugar4. I can't really help with your question i'm afraid, but since you're asking about acne scarring.. I assume you don't get the outbreaks anymore? If so, how did you keep the acne under control? Is there anything in particular you used or did? Thanks!! Hope you get rid of the scarring xx

Unfortunately when you have the scars there is not a huge amount you can do you. There is laser treatment available and like you said chemical peels but these are not the comfortablist of treatments. We used to do them at our salon i worked in, they are effective but your best bet is to have a look round at your local salons and go for a few consultations to see what they can offer, the prices and how many treatments you'll need because it will be alot more than just the one treatment trust me. I wish there was some magical miracle cure in one treatment that could make me a very rich lady! Maybe speak with your GP would be a good thing too, he/she would know a fair bit about it at least they should and have some contacts maybe through the NHS if you are lucky enough too. Ask your GP to refer you to a dermatologist - as chops 'r' us said, there are laser treatments available which are very effective and you may possibly be eligable on the NHS.  Good luck xx  :)

Dermabrasion is also good. It removes the top layers of skin and gives it a clearer, smoother appearance. Unfortunately you'll have to be realistic as nothing will ever remove very deep scarring in the dermis. Good luck
