Hi
This has probably been asked many times before but can anyone help me with v oily skin problem?
It doesn’t matter what I use on my face but about half hour after washing you can see the oil coming out of my pores especially on nose. Have just been using supermarket face wash but this week have been using Clean& Clear scrub which after clearing my pores is now making them MORE oily as the oil seems to be worse. Tried a cheap charcoal mask tonight and face still feels greasy. Any advice?

Chalky face mask may help. Fierce scrubbing with a brush might also help, ( it does with me) or in some cases might stimulate the oil even more. But rejoice, your face in advanced age will not be half as wrinkled as a dry-skin face.
You should visit dermathologist to get a proper consultation.
Gentleness, seriously the less you stimulate your skin the better. Wash with tepid water and a soft cloth, or use the mildest cleanser you can find, pat dry, and then don't touch it. It will take a while to settle down, you will still need to protect your skin with at least an spf 15. But use a product for babies or wear a hat and stay in the shade.
I'd agree with gentleness. I used to scrub my skin within an inch of its life when I was young. It didn't work. But now I'm mistaken for being 10 years or so younger than I am...lol. There are worse things than oily skin.
Friend swore by witch hazel dabbed on after a gentle wash with a facial cleanser.
I am taking you only have the oily skin and no acne. Consider yourself blessed as the oil will serve as an emollient and should keep you looking younger.
My mother used Witch Hazel too and she had beautiful skin.

Thanks for all your answers, I will try them out. Going to ditch the flannel and try some witch hazel. Have also ordered salicylic acid online to try. I hope the saying about oily skin staying younger is true lol would be one advantage anyway
