Mess on the Internet as you are doing now??
Me too me too me too- I have lots to do but don't want to do any of it. Open loads of browsers, then you can just alt-tab between them. And play solitaire!
Depends on your job.  If you're a salesman, you can sit there and play on the internet all day grumbling about all this product research.
I'm crap at pretending I'm working as the answers on here make me crease up and everyone knows why I start randomly laughing. I might tell them I have some disease where I have sudden bouts of uncrontrollable giggles.
What work are you 'meant' to be doing?

Our internet policy is really restrictive, basically Im limited to this, ebay and football websites. Im supposed to be doing project management type stuff, but think I'll do my cv instead
Well I'm a Chiropodist doing old ladies feet all day. I question why every day...
I'm supposed to be doing a huge mailshot to all the casinos in Europe excluding France, but I decided that out of posting useless answers on here and stuffing 3000 envelopes, I'd rather be posting the answers! In fact, I think I'd rather be seeing to old ladies' feet!
Thought of 2 suggestions then read that you're limited as to what internet sites you can visit, you might like to try at home though: http://www.i-am-bored.com/ Other suggestion is those "Playing cards", each one has a suggestion about mischievous things you can get up to at work, like write a memo stating that someone is leaving, photocopy it 50 times, stick the paper back in the photocopier and start to watch the tongues wag. I think these cards were called "52 ways to amuse yourself at work". If I find mine I'll post again. One other thought Can you bounce incoming callers around your office???:)

What do you have to do with casinos georgit? I only ask 'cos I know someone who works in one
I sell stuff to them.
use this site and talk to the ritzy cinema recorded film review phone line while drawing pictures on a pad.
the film 'the cooler' is a good one and has cansinos in it

The "I've lost a piece of paper and I have to look for it" routine usually gives you about half an hour's good wandering time, or carrying a piece of paper around looking important is just as effective! Failing that when I was desperate last week I wrote down the word GARDENIA and tried to make as many other words as possible out of it without using a dictionary. I got 28 by the way.

Cardbored (tee hee)

I would do your CV and get out of there!!!

A colleague of mine used to write down things that she had to do so if say the boss walks in, she's with her nose buried in a note pad.

Go through files that you may have - or check your In Box to see if you have any mail.Make a list of people that you need to call (work related) and phone them. But it all depends on your job of course. If you are a chiropodist that wont apply.

Hi again, I found the "Playing cards", (each one has a suggestion about mischievous things you can get up to at work)

Called 50 Hilarious ways to have fun at work.  They are by Lagoon Games. Product code 582.  Hope you find them.  Just had a flick through and they'll be ideal if you work in an office!!!!

Enjoy!

if you are really bored, try breaking the monotony by doing a bit of work now and again! It costs nothing and they can't touch you for it! You might even get to like it!

but good luck with your problem.
