I'm supposed to be having my lounge carpet fitted today. A phone call this morning said they would be here about 1pm. Any ideas where my carpet fitter is??? If anyone is holding him hostage and feeding him digestives and coffee.......

Over an hour ago the washing machine repair man fixed the machine. I've spent the last hour trying to turn it on but with no luck.....I was getting very angry when I noticed the water wasn't turned on......rar rar rar

It took 3 months to get a plasterer..he was held hostage ..
and fed until the job was done ...carpet fitters are on the
same par with anyone in the building trade ...they
have a book of excuses !!!

Last time I bought a carpet it was out of stock and I had to wait for ages to fix a delivery date.

On the delivery date I waited in but no one came. The next day the shop phoned me to say the delivery van had been nicked.

I wasn't prepared to wait for months for another order so I asked for my money back. The shop refused so I hot footed it down there, and stood outside the shop turning customers away.
The shop owner called the Police and I was on the verge of being arrested. However, the PC was very nice and "had a word" with the shop owner. Five minutes later I had a cash refund in my hand.

Mrs O, I'm surprised, shocked and stunned. Didn't think you had it in you....And quite dis-heartened now.
I'd not even entertained the idea he wouldn't come at all.

there's several carpet fitters downstairs drinking tea, i could send one of them your way if you like, they don't appear to be doing bu&&er all here, they might as well do bu&&er all at yours :-)

One of my brothers in law is a carpet fitter by trade.
My sis bought a new bedroom carpet and it is still in its polythene wrap waiting for him to fit it......15 months later.
