and they say, they cant see themselves being with you, as 30,000 a year is ok for a single man, but not enough to be with someone with a family (even though that other person is working)

So what is he trying to say?

****

what a waste of my life

Sorry Petal lass, but I think he's just using that as an excuse because he doesn't want commitment. In my opinion, that's a heck of a good wage!

Seems that way...why did it take so long to realise?

I need a ******* kick up the arse

Hi Petal - save face easily. Tell him you agree, and that you're sorry to say, but you need someone who earns twice that amount at least, so........ xx
oops trying to say beat it.

and not being very subtle either
Personally I think that person who is complaining should get a second job to make up the missing 'required' amount if it's that much of a problem. - I know I would if that's all that was getting in the way of happiness.

Money may make the world go around ( or not, given the current state of the economy) But it's only a small part of the big picture. Tell him to do one!
Anyway, you deserve much better than him.

The rotten scoundrel.
tell him you need someone who will give you the things you deserve...

love you Elvis (in a funny way ok)
Petal hun - when you meet a man, you come as a package - you and your children. You offered to work extra, and he couldn't even be gracious enough to look after your two young ones while you did it.
I think pasta's right - tell him you deserve someone who'll give you all the nice little treats and things ANYWAY. Sorry, but he certainly doesn't sound like someone who'd be a good bet to settle down with. x
Petal...hi...you know i'm telling it like it is. Your children should NEVER be a chore to him,if you and he are partners..
