is my cat pregnant

i rescued 2 deaf cats about 3 years ago, i was told they had both been spayed. Up untill a few months ago they always stayed indoors, i have noticed over the last couple of weeks when missy comes in she is bringing leaves and small bits of paper. She places them on the floor then stands and cries. Could she be pregnant or is there something wrong with her.

Cats sometimes collect toys, but she may be going through a phantom pregnancy, even though she's been spayed, she may still have active hormones. I'd consult the vet, just to put your mind at rest, but don't worry too much - just give her lots of love and she'll get over it. K xx
