oldgrape, go to Citizens Advice Bureau. They will tell you how to get any extra help, such as the relief fund mentioned before. Im not sure if its the same, but you can get a crisis loan from your benefits office. I did post this link on legends thread but I will post it here for you too. Its the freecycle site I mentioned before. Maybe you can find a tv at least there if we cant get anything to you.

oldgrape,
He has no right at all to remove anything from the marital home. You really need to see a Solicitor but I can tell you now I would be changing the locks and refusing entry to him. No you know he is seeing another woman, he will not want the responsibility of looking after your Son, long term. he is bluffing.
I wish you lived nearer Scotland, I have a TV and also a spare PC but there is no way I could get them to you.
Just keep in out of the house and let him rot!
Play him at his own game and be one step ahead of him. Like I told you earlier in another thread, I have also been on the same situation as yourself. Some loving Father he has turned out to be!!! Shame on him.
Be strong for your Son. Give your Husband nothing. Get legal advice ASAP.

Hey oldgrape , what a tw@t he sounds.
Don't give him both tell him he can have the PC or the TV, after all you are entitled to something from it too.
Also ask him for some money he has a legal obligation to help you support baby grape.
Tell him he can take the TV or PC when he gives you something to see you by until you can get your benefits sorted out. Don't feel guilty, you are not being unreasonable.
Understand what he's saying, and partially agree. However who's to say that he then wont want the sofa? the bed? the carpets? Afterall, if he's paid for them, they're his..........

No, im with Cruella, lock the sod out- tell him to get stuffed- seek legal advise ASAP Grapey.

grape sorry to hear about this, its terrible!, but I do have to say as the daughter of a former alcoholic at least lil grape will be spared a impoverished lifestyle, where all the money and anything of remote value will be sold for booze, also he will be spared listening to the arguments and the constant tension in the house.

Im sure we can all chip in for you "the oldgrape fund!" we can help pay the postage or chip in some dosh towards at least a tv if not a pc as well, I would be very happy to help
Dear Family

Grape and I have had a frank and productive conversation. I have offered her some immediate remedies and we have set some goals for Monday. In the meantime, I shall continue with my offer and will contact the lovely family in Essex, for whom I celebrated a funeral. However, I have every hope that we have found some additional remedies.

Grape has specifically asked that I extend a personal and heartfelt note of thanks, on her behalf, to everyone for your compassion and care. And especially to Legend, who has been particularly supportive and such a ray of light.

Some of you may recall a recent reply I posted to your kind words of support for me. In my reply, I commented on the fact that AB does, in fact, represent a family.

Each of you, who has offered your words of encouragement, ideas, and support to OldGrape, represent the truest essence of the meaning of a family. There is a depth and resonance to this that can never be measured by words alone.

I'm in with a tenner :-)
I would like to send a donation of cash as well
Legend, you are very kind to suggest this. And to others who have offered to assist with shipping, thank you for your thoughts on this as well.

As far as shipping, if it becomes necessary to use this form, I'm sure I can find the funds to cover this. Thank you for your thoughts. However, I think we have some other remedies to hand at present.

As far as donations for Grape. May I suggest that for the moment we wait and see what evolves over the next few days? Obviously, I have no right to speak for grape. However, we have briefly discussed circumstances and whilst there is no doubt she has a rather rocky road ahead, it may be best that we wait a week or so (there's a sound reason here) and then consider sending something directly to her paypal account as a seasonal gift.

Again, I'm deeply touched by the compassion that is shown here by so many.

Please do forgive me as I must leave now. I'm running a bit late...as usual. However, I will check back later this evening.

Thank you again everyone...

Fr Bill
Me too, may be something can be organised?

Hi Legend and everyone, its always the way.We threw a tv away last week but like most people, couldnt have got it to her anyway.
What an a**hole (ex-mr.grape that is!). It looks though Fr Bill can do something constructive about the TV etc. and like everyone else on here I would be happy to help out.
But, oldgrape, I agree that you need to get some advice from CAB or somewhere about your ex. From personal experience I know that alcoholics are not reasonable people. I will be thinking of you and babygrape - take care.
