by the way this is the first time he has ever been allowed out at night without his older brother

he went on to a college gig and got his coat and ipod nicked

i wish i could sort this out myself - god would need to help them
I presume you want them to do their job and find the attackers instead of hunting down motorists and smokers.

Chain gang comes to mind , makes my blood boil when innocents get "set upon " -
cowards in "gangs !
If the ipod was taken as a direct result from the assault then it will be robbery. If so, this is a very serious crime and should be refered to CID. (BTP have do have a CID, but they are few and far between). It should then go to local CID.
Question Author
what words would you use to describe them

the local bobbies told me i was lucky to have good kids

my kids ( oldest two) have 23 gcse s between them one owrks 50 hours a week labouring and has been commended and met the queen for his commitment to childrens charities and the other is so bright is scares me

why am i lucky i have worked so hard to bring up good law abiding kids

not any more i will sit back and let them run riot

whosays crime doesnt pay
in the end they the police, will issue CRIME NUMBERS , by the internet, victims and thier friends and supportive family will be defered from attending police stations etc ...... they will supply a crime number, and relevant forms to claim , VICTIMS COMPENSATION BUREAU or what ever its called , C I C B ??? criminal injuries compn/board , i was once arrested and charged with theft, held for 12 hours, by a central london police station, in this time they were entitled to do a serch of my place in north london, a one and a half hour trip, for the officers, they discovered nothong at my place, they had to go in twos.....but then theft offences does trigger a more or less compulsery search, the item i had stolen was valued at 75...it wasnt crown jewels.....i was charged , etc...... violent crime is overlooked far too much.....

Exactly the same thing happened to us when we called the cops. My son was a few doors from home, keys in hand, and a young man came out of his house to accuse my son of scratching his car days before. He said he knew it was him because someone said it was a blond boy!!! He then told my son he had a gun and he would shoot him between the eyes if he found out it was him.

I was out and returned to find my hubby looking for local police number. I just called 999. They arrived, listened to my son, then calmly asked 'well Mrs Rabbity what would you like us to do?'

It's very difficult to answer them isn't it as the question leaves you stammering and speechless for a while.

Result? They knocked on his door. He was out. Local WPC called a couple of days later, told him to behave himself. This I had to find out for myself as no one came back to us.

I think that was when I seriously decided I needed to move from that street.
Baileys, I am with you. Apart from speeding, I have never broken the law in my life.

Outside of the Army or on the rugby field I have also never been in a fight in my life. However, as I get older and wiser my tolerance levels have decreased in to near enough zero.

In a very, very, very macabre way, I sometimes hope I get a terminal disease and can lay rest to many aspects of society. God forbid I do because I can assure you, England will see its murder rate rocket. I would happily terminate gangs for the good of society.

Scary thought eh? Considerring I am fairly normal!!!!
hi baileybird

Hope your son can recover his confidence after this assault, It might be hard for him to do that, expecially if he thinks there is no support from the law. You can only wonder why being under privelaged is now a criminal demographic group, (if that makes sense), I think more likely they were trying to steal to pay for their drugs, the police should find the manpower to sort this out, as next time they could seriously injure someone.

You must not let it drag on and let rhe police fob you off.

BaileyBd, I know at this stage it is easy for you to think "why do I bother" however, your children will thank you in the end for bringing them up well and teaching them the difference between right and wong. They can go on to do whatever they want wherever they wish to go. In 30 years time they will look back with their children and hopefully teach them the same rules and respect. The idiots who attacked your son however won't. They will continue to drain our country along with their children and get nowhere. What goes around always comes around eventually.
This is an awful thing to happen baileybird and I hope your son is okay and that whats happened doesnt affect his confidence. These thugs need catching and soon, at the very least they need charging with assault and theft.

I have a son a year younger than yours and I constantly worry about him when he is out and about with his mates. Our town is over-run with 'chavs' and my lad and his mates are all punks/emo/mosher type kids....the mortal enemy of chavs for some reason :( Even though they have all known each other since nursery school the chavs are mean and nasty towards them sometimes.

I am afraid I would take matters into my own hands regardless of whether the police were able to arrest and charge them or not. I realise I may get a lot of flack for saying that but if these people think that three of them jumping and beating up a kid is an okay thing to do then my view on it would be that what goes around comes around :(

I was once advised by a police officer to try and get hold of a 15 year old lad who had attacked my then 10 year old daughter with a fence post, the officer said "get him at night in an area with no witnesses and see how he likes the feel of a fence post around his head" . I was shocked but actually heartened to know that not all police are heartless drones. He also said that this 15 year old lad was a paedophile in training because the reason he beat my daughter was that he had asked her out and she refused(remember he was 15 and she was 10),when she refused he asked out a 7 year old girl who lived on our street.
Funnily enough the last I heard of this lad he was doing time for sexual offences against a child, the officer was spot on with his prediction.

I hope your son gets his confidence back baileybird.
xx
