Just heard on the news, that the government are going to pay out an allowance of around 100 to pregnant women of 7 months. To enable them to have a healthy diet for their unborn child.

So all pregnant women will spend this money on food?

And what right have they to tell pregnant women what to do?

Money could be spent better elsewhere. Anyone else agree?

The time when a good healthy diet is at its most vital is early gestation.
I feel that this 'assistance' would be better provided in the way of vouchers for such foods and given very early on in pregnancy.
200 cash could be seen as another financial insentive by those who see children as a means to get more benefits
