Sorry if i offend anyone here, but do you think women should be posting their views in the news section?

lol @ Johnlambert!!!
erm yes otherwise I would have given up years ago. I always check ceefax too for local news every day
what is there not to understand about frank butcher dying? Or man U sugning woitshis name, or thingy brown visiting george w? It's not rocket science, and if it gets too difficul that means you are watching Panorama anyway.
MrBen, I would be very much interested to know what research you have personally done, or maybe have read about, which implies that women "don't really follow news stories or understand politics". I've not done any extensive research myself but amongst my female peers we've all been known to tune into Radio 4, read quality newspapers and heaven forbid, even debate some of the topical political and news stories of the day. When I was a university there was a wealth of women studying such subjects as Economics and Politics - maybe you just don't know any of them? How old are you? What do YOU do for a living? What sort of people do YOU mix with?
jings, I thought women watched the news because they fancied that welsh bloke

I don't post in the news section , can't get my pretty little female head round it :-)
So true mamma, I mean when would I have time?? Im way too busy baking cakes and thinking about sparkling pink things :)
Hmmmm....this is what's passing for humour these days is it...?

HMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm, almost as bad as some of the 'hilarious' attempts at windups the huskie posts...

*sighs and shakes head*
even i am not stupid enough to go down this road :)
is it alright for men who don't follow any news or politics to post their views? and if so, why?
is it alright for women who DO follow the news or politics to post their views?
in your opinion of course, mr.ben5?
I dont pretend to know about stuff I don't understand, I will always ask. For years the Israel situation has perplexed me and news section helped me understand it. I will follow news when it is something important or that interests me as I think is the same for everyone not just men.

Ruby27 appears to be one of the most well informed posters on the news section and I believe she is a woman.
Hi MrBen - been so busy making jelly & butterfly cakes with the grandchildren! Then there was the washing, ironing, hoovering, cleaning the windows, cleaning my car, shopping. Oh, & then there's swimming & going out for days, etc., - just don't seem to get the time to post on AB lately let alone the news section!

Hi BM - lol. -x-
Hi smudge :-)xx

Well done smudge, your a credit to all women. At least your kids will grow up well. A lot more women should be like you.
The point i was trying to make (but as always i fail to word it right) is would any women take any notice of a guy posting something about how pregnancy affects them.
I didnt mean to offend anyone, but once again, you take it out of text...
well I can't speak for every woman on here mrben, but I'd certainly notice if a bloke posted on here about how pregnancy affected him I would've loved to have known what was going on in my husband's head when I was pregnant :)
Question Author
No i meant if he was commenting on what it is like being pregnant.
well you failed to word it right. Again :)
Question Author
Ha ha, ok, i am gonna give up :)
As someone said earlier, no wonder i am single :)
Suerly the point is that men are physically unable to know what it is like to be pregnant but women can, in theory at least, understand the news.
I am as easily distracted by sparkly things as any woman but I also watch the main news and politics programmes as well as read a daily newspaper (not a red-top or the Daily Mail!) and we often have discussions on news items at work in our (mixed-sex) office.
MrBen what a load of old tosh, new effects men and women alike. Menstrusting is womens issues just as a prostate gland problem is a blokes issue.
