Hello , can I tell you what has happened please ?
Not only has my ceiling been leaking all weekend .....
....sniff .....but some thug has thrown a bottle at my bay window in the night and smashed it to bits ....sniff....:-(

I live on a main road too and it can get pretty noisy on a weekend. But thats usually me :-) luckily alot of people know not to touch my place or car.

That's terrible! What time did it happen? I'd be scared stiff, especially with the window smashed. Did you manage to board it up or something?

Must have happened in the night , I can't board it up but , as I am in an association house they will fix it now that I have obtained a crime number. I am just waiting for the person to get back from their lunch to ring me to let me know when.

I know how you feel about being on a route home from the pubs........I often get a beer bottle left on my doorstep, luckily theyre mostly no broken. However, I do have an alleyway running being my back garden and often find a broken bottle or two that has been thrown over the wall!

oh know, what little sods! At least you slept through it, it wouldve been terrifying to wake up to that in middle of night.

My fella has just had a call from his golf club to say that some thieving bastid has stolen the memorial plaque that he put up in memory of his dad.

hes very upset, he'd made it himself as well so a lot of thought and love had gone into it.

I hope your window gets fixed today and that It was a one-off. If not youll have to get son home on leave and have him guard the front garden :) xxx

I actually asked my dog if she had gone deaf as she sleeps in that front room and never made a peep !!! :-)

Hi Bigmamma! So sorry to hear about whats happened :o(
Some little ********'s about! Our friend lives in a second floor flat and was awoken one night to loud thuds in their livingroom, they went to investgate and a bloody big boulder came through their window (2 storeys up!) The police said it was doubtful that they were targeted and that it was probably drunks but had to be men as they couldn't believe kids would be able to throw such a big boulder so high up!
I'm glad your ok BM, hope they come and fix your window pretty sharpish! :o)

The glazier has just been and measured up and says he will get the glass ready and fit it tomorrow between 1& 2 pm
It's a large double glazed on so that should be fun :-0

bigmamma, what a day :( Poor you. Have they not been to fix the ceiling yet? What a bl**dy a-hole to do that to you too! Porsche wasn't hurt was she? Belly rubs for her, and a frown for being such a lousy guard dog, bless her! Too much love that girl has! I hope they come fix it ASAP. I wish you knew who it was, and that they had to fix it for you, and clean up all the mess they made. That might make them think twice.

I�ve just watched on news about a rave that went on over weekend and how police were called to sort the revellers out.. And the ravers were complaining that they were treated badly and showing the camera cuts that they sub stained even though they were throwing glass bottles, stones etc at police!! Only difference was police had protective clothing on, oh what a shame.

poor you big mamma, my parents live on a main road as well and they have had their car wrecked a few times by drunks and kids.

Im glad the housing will get it sorted, can they do your ceiling as well?

I would be petrified if someone threw a bottle in my window!!!!!

I too live on the main road with a tiny, postage stamp sized "garden". When I was weeding it a few weeks ago, I found a mug with tea or coffee still in bottom of it!! I mean what?? People actually take their brews for walks now???

Hi Bigmamma,aww poor you,It never rains but it pours! This type of thing gets me soo mad grr! They give no thought at all to what they put people through,with their awful behaviour. I'm glad your dog was ok though :-)When the same thing happened tp my aunt,her lovely wee budgie,who was in the same room,actually died of fright. She was as annoyed at that,as the whole business of the window and calling the police etc.
