Early lunch?

Ok... The Sandwich man arrived and I bought a cajun chicken wrap and am half way through it! I couldn't wait! But then someone in the office said it's worse to starve yourself and eat late than it is to curb the hunger and eat earlier as your sugar levels drop so much it takes more food to bring them back up if you wait longer! Is this true?

you are likey to gorge if you leave it till 'starvin'. eat when hungry.....I'm starvin now OMG & dont have time to pop out...send me some sarni...x

Too late! It got munched! Although we do have a selection of fruit on the bar near my desk... We have banana's, apples, pears, grapes, satsumas, peaches, kiwis, strawberries and this week as a treat.. we have cherry tomatoes! Lol... Think we have a pineapple in the kitchen too which will be cut up later.
I would be in hell working with all that food near me..If my situation gets desperate I have All Bran in the cupboard. :(

But at least it's fruit... when we have a birthday in the office.. that person buys cakes and puts them on the breakfast bar near my desk... and we all stuff our faces... and.. when we have a meeting I normally have to call the caterers and get sandwiches and little picky bits made special.. and we eat the leftovers.. Lol. No wonder I had to join the gym!
Accountant gone. & starvin still...Shall I dare to go get a skinnt latte & muffin or eat the all bran. what a choice !! Means hobbiling up the street in pain with poorly foot.
I always starve myself til 1 then have my cheese salad n mayo roll that i order!
I dont eat breakfast though and i dont snack at all, my first meal is lunch, then i wait til dinner which is normally a small meal.
I dont really eat much at all!

I'd got for the muffin Cockroach... sounds more appealing!

You should eat 3 meals a day you know... or 5 small ones!
I could never eat 3 meals a day! Theres not enough room in me, im only little!
And also its to much hassle as im wheat intolerant but dont stick to my diet, so with not eating much, im not sick as often :)
I found some wheaty pillows...soo have had them...have to go to the bank in a bit anyway ...& unfortunatley its nx to Costa coffee. So...latte's all round...yippeee...make my foot feel bette.
it probably comes from the fact that, if you go without food for a while, your body will kick into starvation mode -

it doesn't know that you are not actually genuinely starving, and so will then retain as much fat, sugar and nutrients etc, in the next piece of food you eat as it can, as a survival mechanism - just in case you are actually in a low sustenance situation - therefore, the hours of not eating that you think are helping you lose weight, are in fact having the opposite effect in terms of weight loss, as your body will hold on to more fat than usual.

with regular food intake, the body feels free to expel any excess fat etc that it doesn't particularly need at that time, because it knows it will be getting more soon.
