Hi Heather if you are still there. then i must tell you, my friend sold her house, she is single, and bought a house boat on our canal and now tours the waterways. It can be hard work but sounds fantanstic. She is so happy and free. She works 9.30 - 4.30 at the same place as me, but her outgoings are a lot less than mine. Maybe its a bit basic for some, but i think its great. Another lady who works with me also lives on a house boat. She works for 6 months then tours around for 6 months and she is 60. The first lady i mentioned is 39 so its for all ages. xx
My ex wants to get himself a houseboat.

I hope it sinks!
I know the feeling,
If my daughters ex was on a houseboat i would drill a hole in the bottom.
I would not want to live on one, its not me, it sounds great if thats the free life someone craves.
has heathers post still not broken free yet??
ed please get rid of this bloody post
ummmmmmmmmmm.its sounds fantastic, love to know if the youngers feel the same as the oldees
Hi most of us know how you're feeling but the key to your own decision is, can you deal with the unknown. How do you know whether you would be better off or, if the change would turn out exactly what your experiencing know.
Best of luck
I'm feeling a bit left out of this one, yet strangely not bothered. Anyone fancy Monopoly instead?
