pregnant at 17!

im 17 and 8 weeks pregnant.
i want to keep it but i have doubts now and then about having a abortion because the babys father isnt around and i dont have a job or anything but i do have a really surportive family.but they just say its your choice,which is the only thing they can say really has anyone else had trouble trying to decide this? and what did you do?

Good grief please. The girl is 17, deserves to be treated with kindness and consideration by those of us who've seen a bit more of life than she has yet. She doesn't deserve to be called names, insulted or have her thread turned into an fcuking circus.Come on we're all better than this surely?

Joe..really, I know you were being honest but there was no need to spear whiffey ~ I have yet to see any evidence of his gender confusion (I mean real evidence, not pixels) and in any case it is irrelevant in any issue.

Pregnant-S..i was in a very similar situation to you, i was 18 years old, lived with my parents, was not financially stable at all and had split up with my boyfriend...Although my family were very supportive and offered to stand by me no matter what decision i made...I knew in my heart that it was unfair to bring a child into the world in an un-stable situation. It was a very difficult decision to make having a termination but now I realise it was the right one...4 years on I have a first class degree and own my own company and i know for sure I wouldnt have acheived this had I gone through with the pregnancy! I would have felt more guilt if i had brought up a child with no money or prospects than I did going through with a termination (if that makes sense) However one MAJOR thing I learnt from the experience and i'm going to be blunt here is if you decide to have a termination you must be strong mentally and physically, your allowed to feel guilty in a sense but regret is one emotion that should be knocked straight on the head!! I really feel for you sweet heart, dont listen to grumpy old sods (ie joe) no matter what decision you make you'll get that...but I will say you are a young girl and the whole world is your oyster...go and live your life to the full you have the rest of your life to settle down and have children!
