He's staying at my house, as apparently his wife dosen't love him anymore and wants a divorce, i've been chief negotiator with them both for the past 3 days, and their going to meet tonight to air their differences, hopefully it will work out for both of them.

Have you ever been put in a position, to save a relationship etc, and if so, was you successful in pairing the couple back together again, or was you more of a hindrance and made matters worst.

I know i should post in relationships, but such is the wisdom, knowledge of the B&S Ab's i thought i would post it hear 1st

I was years ago laurence, my sister and her husband were going through a really bad patch, I was talking to both and trying to get them to talk, I did not take sides because I could see both points of view, they were in fact both wrong with the things they had done, they got divorced, the daft thing is they get on better now than when they were together, hope they can sort it out, take care, Ray
I would think you have a difficult task there laurie, not just because you may not know all the truth, you also have to try to be loyal family wise to your brother-in-law but maybe he is rather more to blame, (if blame is the right word,) for his wife not loving him anymore. I don't believe we wake up one day and decide we don't love someone, we fall out of love because we are pushed into it. In your negotiations did u ask him why he thinks she said she doesn't love him anymore?

Believe it or not dot, its all down to the brother-in-law not pulling his weight around the house, he is lazy, and his wife knew what she was letting herself in for 17 years ago when they got married, but i think its grinded her down over the years, and she just can't handle it anymore, he admits to being lazy, their are other issues like they don't communicate, they don't really have a social life due to her working all the hours under the sun.

They really need to air their views/put their cards on the table, myself and my wife told him a few home truths, he took it well mind you, lets just see how tonight goes.

Ps, they never ever argue with each other niether, thats almost unheard of these days, they both want to say things to one another, but fail to pluck up courage to say something through fear of hurting one anothers feelings, very strange if you ask me, tho where all different
