Please forgive me for I have left my modesty after the celebratory pint and I need to brag.

Having never really won anything I am now a proud 1st place holder in the shooting competition at my local club. It was 4 disciplines: air pistol, benchrest, full bore rifle and rapid fire � and I won (and I was the only girl in the competition).

Weeeee....jumps around the room....

PS. Just for the question sake, does anyone need a sniper for hire?

You want to be carefull at that club Justsia, When I was in the RM we used to say there is nothing more dangerous than a sailor with a gun, not to the enemy but the people stood near him. :-)

Both my husband & me used belong to two gun clubs, but gave one of them up due to lack of spare time!

Smudge, I'm absolutely loving it. I am not exactly sure how many members there are in a club, judging by the file quite a few, but only 4 women. I usually do pistol but last night's full bore rifle just blew my mind. Thinking of switching the discipline, although, not before I master the pistol. Would recommend it to anyone. And the guys at the club are just ace, such a laugh.

Hey Sako,

I think it was pistol caliber (.357) though I wouldn't bet my life on it. It's not my discipline so don't know much about it.

Do you shoot as well?
