10 mins of sit ups a day = ?

If I did 10 mins of sit ups every day, how long would it be before I would notice a difference? How long before I could just feel it was different and then how long before I started to get a visual 6-pack or something? Thanks.

I've just come back off holiday, and I had a fitness assessment while I was there. I am advised that the bump on your tummy - the one that you can't get rid of, is in fact a 'camel's hump' - it's storing excess fat. Try eating fruit every four hours, and cut down the fats and so on. Combine that with thirty sit ups - proper ones, head looking up, elbows out of your sight line (yes it does hurt like hell, no pain no gain and all that!) and you will start to see results. Persevere, and a six-pack could be yours!

Thanks for the encouragment! Do you have any idea of time scale? Are we talking a few weeks before I can feel a slight difference or months?
With a good diet I think 4-6 weeks; remember you won't see any difference in muscle-tone if it is buried in flab.

Hopefully there isnt too much flab. I'm 17 and I wouldnt say I'm fat, its just theres no muscle tone - which id obviously like.
How about doing some laps at the swimming pool. Swimming burns off the calories and tones up the muscles of your whole body really well. Perhaps including situps ...continue for 3 months and you should really feel great and have a very athletic figure.
You can do sit-ups till the cows proverbially come home and not see any muscle definition. This will only appear if you train with abdominal weights and lower your body fat percentage. So get doing some cardio to shift some fat and get weight training! Good luck!
Lindy is right you need to do some cardio exercise in conjuction. You need a proper fitness regime, try joining a gym or something, or going for a 20 minute run and finish with sit-ups.
Or better still try not to be so vain, who cares about 6 pacs.
try usy situps but a whole new sequence.i used pilates for 6 weeks and i lost 57. pilates gives you energy and strenght it hits all targets and makes you look young again. its perfect for toneing the boby
