My friend and I used to provide shelter for homeless people in our own house, but only those we knew and felt we could trust, and even then the only rooms they could access at night were their bedroom and the bathroom. They were all wonderful people, and we never had any kind of trouble. We stopped when we moved home, because it was no longer practical given the layout of the house to continue.
Yer fairkatrina Ive had people stay that have been kicked out of home through drugs but Im kind of a townie that everyone knows and if they did anything they knew they would get their legs broken. So they had respect for me.
I don't think I could because I would be worried about them afterwards. It would be a bit like well here's a great meal and a bed and a nice bath then back off to being homeless again.

I would feel really bad afterwards for them and worry about where they were.

Sorry.
The nearest i got to that was one New Years Eve. I was driving home alone in torrential rain - noone about when i came across a young couple with a pushchair and two very young children. I stopped and asked if i could give them a lift - they had rowed with their parents and got thrown out. They gratefully accepted a lift as they had no money for a taxi. Unfortunately they lived about 15 mile away and i got totally lost on my way home !!!!! But still , i was glad i helped.

great question crete!!!!

NOX, if your still popping in.............. do you still hear off that girl or not,is she straight now???
Yes I probably would although not with just me on my own I don't think.

I've befriended homeless people before and taken them for drinks, meal etc...

I did have a bad experience with one I'd befriended who had alcohol and drug problems. He got horrendously drunk and started trying it on one night when I bumped into him in a pub and when I politely knocked him back he went mad and started smashing things up and nearly ended up on someone's car bonnet and got arrested. He later ended up in a psychiatric unit.

So i would but would be a lot more careful.
