This week I started taking super strength fish oil capsules. The thing is I have been feeling nauseous, lightheaded and weak. Could the tablets be the cause?

it would send me lightheaded and weak if i was paying 23.99 for 60 capsules
get down to the shop and buy yourself some anchovies sardines pilchards and kippers.
work out much cheaper
I've never taken oils, but I did try taking multi vitamin/mineral capsules for a while. I guess they were too strong for my stomach - I threw up every time. My husband also tried taking them, and ended up with lots of mouth ulcers. If you can up your intake with food, it's probably best - but we all like the quick fix don't we? : )
shazzabell, Fish oil both in capsule form or food can cause nausea. I take the super strength caps with no problem's but my other half literally chucked up so he had to stop. I buy mine from Healthspan UK. It costs me 6.00 for 90 capsules. Omega 3 fish oils. Some people cant tolerate the gelatine coating so that could be another reason for your nausea. I cant see where the light headedness and weakness come into it though. Could you maybe have picked up a bug? Daisy.

Thank you for replying. I've since stopped taking them and I feel better. I'm just going to eat more fish!
I had a severe sore throat as well, a day before I started the fish oils, so the dizziness must have stemmed from that (some sort of infection)? Thanks again for all your helpful answers.
