I just wondered if the majority of B&S posters know each other in real life or have you just become friends through this site alone and have never actually seen each other?
i know one person who told me about the site and another who i told about the site. apart from that no one. i think people who come on here a lot get to know each other and form a bond. people on AB are very supportive of each other.
Yes I noticed how supportive everyone is, which is why I wondered if some people knew each other. Its great that everyone wants to help people they don't know. I just came across the site by accident - its quite addictive.
I met people through here but I know my sis comes on here if that counts!! I have a few b&s people on my msn, I text one of them and have met and speak to another on the phone all the time.
I've never met anyone from the site, but have introduced quite a few of my friends to it. I would love to meet some of the regulars, but it's nice having your own ideas about what certain people are like. At times when some of us are down, it would be great to just zoom over to see them with a bottle of wine and bags of support, rather than sending virtual hugs.... my boss might get annoyed tho if I suddenly zoomed off.
I have never met anybody from here, i have just started looking through the B & S topic (used to be only sport and motoring) but your very right it is usually the same people and they seem a friendly lot
I personally dont know anyone here. I used to think they were lifeless robots
That was until I began drawing up psychological and personal profiles of some regulars based on answers they have given over the last 4 years or so. For example, did you know that there is one particular ABer who has a fetish for albino dwarves with ginger pubes and lists chocolate is their favourite ice cream flavour. I wont mention any names, but that sort of intelligence gathering could come in very very useful one day.
Well I thought you were on about me for a minute there oct but phew I havent listed chocolate as my fave icecream as I dont like icecream so it cant be me :-)
I could have made certain parts of that up. I follow the goverment guidelines on intelligence gathering in that everything is right if enough people believe it.
Of course it wasn't you 4not, but as they say in Loompaloand "If the boot fits, put your foot in it."
Some time ago, someone on Answerbook, who also frequents AnswerBank, innocently gave another AB'er my personal email address because they thought I'd like to correspond. I wasn't very impressed at the time, so soon gave up returning emails.
This is cyberworld after all & you can never be too careful these days!
