Getting to know a group

If you're in a small educational group of say 7-10 people, and you will be seeing those other people probably about 3 times a week for the next couple of years, do you think it's inevitable that, even in the beginning if it's a bit awkward and no one really knows each other, everyone will end up knowing each other really well?

yes, the awkwardness will lessen the more people get to know each other, most of it will be when people drop their guards and relax more.

A few will have slept with each other by the end of the course.
