A mate of mine did something similar for his wife but were tickets to a health spa.... basically he got a giant box, beautifully decorated and then put another box inside, also beautifully decorated etc.... took her about an hour to open it! And there was tissue paper and sparkly things that made a real mess in each box but she loved it. I think there may have been silly token presents as well in each layer but I may be confusing that with someone else.... I'm quite often confused ;0)
How about adapting China brilliant idea and putting clues in the layesr like, a sprig of heather, a mini bottle of scotch, toy aeroplane, a key (hotel room), a do not disturb notice, a little picture of 'tragedy and comedy' (you may get a xmas decoration with this on, I have one) etc and then put all the tickets in a box in the middle of the parcel.
I reckon they'll love their present by the way!
Just red redcrx post too. How about give them the present with the clues and then give them the tickets etc when you get there at lunch time.
Or put the tickets IN a helium balloon, push them in and then get a florist or someone to blow them up, you can give them a bunch of balloons and they have to pop them to get the present.
what a nice present !
puts my present ideas to shame !!
great ideas, the one big pressie full of lots of little clues is a great one (just hope we can find lots of cheap little things as pressie cost a bomb).
The helium balloons may not be advisable with a little one running around on xmas day, dont want to scare him :)

our brother wants to put them in a cracker, i suppose we could put one of those giant crackers in the very last box.

we can also give it to them just before lunch

well my idea was to wrap a hotel (monopoly) then a plane, then a nessie teddy I have but not sure what to do for Chitty Chitty bang bang, redcrx wont lend me her son to put in a a cage
Brilliant question as I have similar problem and wasn't sure how to do it either.

I have booked a hotel in Manchester for 2 nights, flights there and back, and tickets to see Man Utd in the Champions League on one of the days there,so wasnt sure how to give all this, seeing asI am only physically handing him tickets! Plus don't see how I am going to get him to airport without giving it away!

P.S. Lovely pressie you two! Well done! xx
Found Chitty Chitty Bang Bang toy - bit expensive though. I live about 3 miles from Beaulieu so if you need anyone to get one for you........
thanks Hellion but after the money weve splashed out already (never realised edinburgh was so pricey) we are gonna go for little nicnaks rather than expensive clues.
