What is the best kind of hair brush to get for very long hair? (reaches lower back, prone to tangling).

When I had very long hair, the best brush I ever bought was a paddle brush from Avon. I now have shoulder length hair and still swear by it.
It depends on your hair type, I think. They say a paddle brush is best, my mum bought me one but it makes mine really static. I find clean fingers are the best method of brushing, though if you're thinking of buying a present for someone that's not really feasible!
I use a Mason Peason hairbrush which has nylon bristles which is very good, I wouldn't want to use anything else.

Check out their website theres lots of information about which hairbrush type is best for different types of hair.

You can't buy them directly from their website though I got mine from www.ecentual.co.uk it was about 15 but worth it as they last for years.
Hi msemma I have very long hair and I use a paddle brush for normal brushing. However my top tip for tanglefree hair is; wash and condition and rinse your hair as usual then take a blob of conditioner about the size of a grape and work into your hair (not the roots though) do not rinse out, comb through with a wide toothed comb and dry as normal - it really does stop your hair knotting and is cheaper and smells nicer than the de frizz serums, it keeps your hair in fab condition too.
