I don't think it is wierd, i have a lock of my Dad's hair that I wear in a locket around my neck, it is probably one of the most precious things I own.
A lock of hair is one thing dotty.

Having your loved ones' bones and bits made into diamonds is something else.

Not sure how I feel about it to be honest. It doesn't repulse me, but the thought doesn't exactly fill me with joy either.

A lock of hair and a nice photo in a locket for me, I think.

I cannot judge anyone on what they feel is the right way to remember a dead one. However I personally think it is disrespectful to make a human being into a diamond.I think the body should be laid to rest and not be on someone's finger as a ring etc.I would never do it and would never want it done to me when I die. That is the problem with this. How do you know the dead person would want this done to them?
I don't feel so comfortable with that idea, I can't explain why, it just doesn't feel right.

I want to be a tree when I die, I want my ashes put at the roots of a sapling, so I nourish it. I'm a bit of a tree hugger anyway, but I think it's a nice idea that family have something living to remind them of you, and even hug if they want to be as daft as me! ;o)
I have seen this, the diamonds come out yellow dont they. Not my cup of tea and I dont know a member of my family that would leave it in their will that i should wear them for eternity, then again I am an absolute clutz and scatterbrain and i would probably leave my mum on the side of a wash basin in a public toilet. How bad would that make me feel??? awww. Sweet revenge.
there is a site that you can have your ashes mixed with some kind of special concrete and turned into coral reefs and placed at the bottom of the ocean for the local wildlife to live in - which is quite a nice thought
i must be the only one but i think its quite nice .... if you had it made into a piece of jewellery and wore it i supose it would feel like your loved one was allways with you x
to make a diamond from one person (if it were possable) would result in the smallest diamond in the world i would have thought...
but, to answer the question.. no, i wouldnt want one...
speaking as a geologist, i can pretty confidently say that the smallest proportion of any decent sized diamond would come from your relative. the rest of an industrial made diamond comes from a mix of old carbon derivatives. like pencil lead. ponder that.
I think it is a nice idea but I wouldn't wear it. Have it as a keepsake maybe.
amber had conrad made into a ring on footballers wives i think its a great idea so long as the deceased has agreed you can also be made into a firework which i quite fancy go out with a bang so to speak
i would love to be made into a diamond...we had our dog made into one...nothing wrong with that!!
