I'm due to fly to Benidorm on the 4th July, but I hate flying. I've only been on 2 planes before, but just as were taking off I feel dead sick and the fact that I could be sick in front of everyone makes me feel even more sick. Is there anything I can do to stop me feeling like this? Im fine once I've settled down and in the air.

perhaps the changes in air pressure are affecting you? Or perhaps you've got to the point where just worrying about it makes the worry worse? Your GP may be able to give you tranquillisers or travel sickness pills

what I wanted to say when I saw you were going to Benidorm was have a great time, I absolutely loved it there, have been a few times on girlie holidays a few years back and plan to go back with the girls in 7 years time when we all hit 40 and the kids have grown up more!

Thanks, I'm really looking forward to it! Just hope its hot! I took travel tablets last time and they seemed to work, but someone through up at the end of my first flight and I'm just scared it's going to be me this time, and that in turn, makes me more nervous about the flight.

Hi Eurox you could also try Arnica- a herbal supplement from boots. Its really calming and chills you out and is good for jet lag as well. It got me through a 23 hour flight to Australia and I hate flying, I swear by it. Start taking it a few days before you set off. Have a lovely trip x

try sitting on a sheet of newspaper when on plane. I suffered terribly with travel sickness as a kid and on a school trip once they made the sufferers sit on newspaper. It worked, dont ask me how but it did. Worth a try anyway.
