I've got a squashy lump right in the centre between my ribs.

I went to the work's nurse and she said it is probably just a fatty cyst.

What is a fatty cyst??

She advised me to have it checked by my GP.

Shouldn't I just ignore it until it goes away?

thanks

Surely you want to know exactly what it is? So why ignore it? What if it takes ages to go away, wouldnt you worry?

If i were you id get it checked out by GP as the nurse suggested.

sg, Best to get it checked out by your doc. I've got a fatty lump at the top of my arm which turned out to be a harmless cyst which is a lump of gristle but I had to see the doc for my own peace of mind:-))

My hubby had exactly that! He went to the docs but was told a load of tosh about it being part of 'the bone'... lol... what an ar$e!! Qualified? I think not.

Turned out to be a proper lump of stuff. Harmless, but it needed to be taken out to make sure all was well. Very quick op. No complications and lots of TLC afterwards!

GET IT CHECKED.

Thank you all!

Of course it makes sense to have it checked.... I've booked my appointment.

I have exactly the same thing, I thought it was my sternum but when i breathe in it's quite a pronounced lump. My GP is referring me to the hospital to check it out and see if it ought to be removed (or if it's something else maybe - a hernia is a possiblty but he didnt think so.)

gord knows when th appt will be though...
