I've just made beetroot hummus so will be partaking at regular intervals.

Sandy, I once made hummus in France, using a spud masher on a tin of chickpeas. I had garlic and lemon juice, but no tahini, but the masher did a good job (I  like it a bit grainy).

Imagine a savoury version of peanut butter.

It's made of chick peas, tahini , a little garlic, and olive oil.
