Just wondered, have any of you ever thought that your life, everything thats ever happened, is leading to a specific point or event, and if you have, do you think you'll know when you get to it?

In a way Lonnie, it is leading to specific event- death. I accept that was a flippant answer and more seriously I've never believed in destiny, divine interventions or pre-determined outcomes in life. That may sound somewhat chaotic, but its how we cope with the chaos that makes us who we are, in my opinion.

I'm afraid that answering this question may be that point!

Drusilla, you detected the one flaw in the question, death, but I asked that, because lately, for no particular reason,

I've been thinking on this subject, and its making me sink into myself, too much thought is bad for you, thats my conclusion.

You've been a pleasant addition to the site, Lonnie. Unfortunately, when you don't think enough, you end up posting dubious questions like mine just below yours.
So embarrassing!!! :-)

Im not sure but I truely believe me and my husband to be are meant to be, that sounds corny doesntpart of the country as me but adopted to a family hundreds of miles away, we then lived in Bournemouth at the same time and eventually met online after my marine boyfriend dumped me when pregnant. Not so strange except at the time neither of us had a computer I was at my aunties house and him at his neighbours. Thanks for your last post Drusilla, very kind, yousound like a lovely lady, (hope I havent made you blush).

I have had a morbid fear of dying for a long time now, very difficult to explain to anyone, doctor just seems to brush it all off, but nothing worse than waking at three in the morning and being frightened! I see what you mean about a specific event, but just live from day to day and hope for the best! I am writing this now on Christmas night, have been with my family, and they are now just lazing around while I have come on PC to get away from all the festivities! Always find that this special day makes you think about that point or event that you mention! Thanks Lonnie for bringing the subject up!

Dkeyse, that was good of you to respond, i'm not quite in the situation you are, but I do understand, and you definately need to speak to someone, when you get some time alone, why not give the Samaritons a ring, even if they can't help, it might do you some good just to unload. Wish you all the best.

Hi Lonnie

You are definitely not alone in these feelings, there are many people feeling exactly how you are at this time. We are all on our own personal journey of self discovery, and part of this is an awakening to who you truly are. The energy of the planet is shifting and for many it is a difficult time. Introspection and clearing past issues is a part of our journey. New understanding will alleviate the fear of death which many experience. Always trust your instincts and you will be fine. Love and light. Amara x
