I keep getting reminders about the latest vaccine and asking me to book in for it. As I’ve said on here before, I’ve had long covid since about March and am wondering whether to risk it or not. This last week I really feel as though I’ve turned a corner and the dreadful nausea is almost gone. I actually went out yesterday (eye test) and coped really well. I know Sqad advised me not to have the previous vaccine but I went ahead with it, and I regretted doing so. Whether it was that jab or not which caused the long covid I will never know - how long is a piece of string etc. Has anyone any thoughts about it. It’s such an unknown area.

I refuse to have more, but it's your choice.
Try watching this video on my thread;

Have you spoken to your GP about it?
I had the (new) Moderna booster 2 weeks ago - I'll try to let you know if I have a mini stroke soon. Watch this space.
I've decided not to have any more, but it really is such a personal choice helly.
I’d advise against watching the video Khandro suggested, the general advice of the individual on it is highly questionable.
Can the jab cause long COVID? I’ve not heard that.
I’ve had four jabs, COVID once, and intend to have the autumn booster as soon as I become eligible.
You really have to make your own mind up.
of course I have an opinion - DOI - crazy vaccinator who worked at Porton Down and writes like Fr Jark ( apparently,.do I frack?)

Sqad has given an opinion and as a lawyer said in court sixty years ago - "i think his lordship's copy of X omits this case..."

sqad must have missed this comment in the BMJ
Vaccination to reduce risk of reinfection remains important for people with long covid, and evidence so far suggests that benefits are likely to outweigh any harms. Three outcomes are possible after vaccination: no change in symptoms (most likely), improvement (best case), or deterioration (worst case).1 Unfortunately, many unknowns remain about the long term prognosis of long covid, including the effect of booster vaccines or recurrent covid-19.

Are vaccines a potential treatment for long covid?
BMJ 2022; 377 doi: https://doi.org/10.1136/bmj.o988 (Published 18 May 2022)

Op-ed published long before by a few years

so as ever - - you suck your belly button in and decide for yourself
I didn’t think it was possibly to actually catch Covid from these vaccines.
That isn’t how they work (ie they don’t give you a mild form of it as some do)
I had my Covid and flu jags together last week and so far I'm still alive and sunnily disposed.

I confess to not watching online videos for advice though.
the info on the booster says it does not contain covid in any form
Vaccines kill ! is what Dr Malhotra is saying:
He was one of Fauci's minions ( if you doan know what a minion is or who Fauci is/was, stop reading here).

still here: OK If you are gonna say that, you really have to have good evidence. You know like bodies in streets etc. He doesn't
His paper is here
https://insulinresistance.org/index.php/jir/article/view/71

vaccine paper on insulin resistance org? yup
anyway I am reading it but dont hold your breath
the info on the booster says it does not contain covid in any form

if you are at the level of "covid bacteria are everywhere and I may DDDDIIIIIIEEEE !" then you should stop reading this thread
and go and have the vaccine.... and er a cuppa sweet coffee
Oh Oh - Malhotra ( Khandie's fren') looked at the vaccine trials and didnt like one of the stats... (NNT - far too complex for AB)

and so 'he called the whole thing off'

look at the streets - -no bodies. I rest my case.
I'm still thinking about having it, why? I don't really know. In places like Africa and Brazil and no doubt other places that didnt even get a first jab and dropping like flies (is that still happening) as we don't really hear any news on such places. Covid retreated or not?
yeah almost over ( here)
BUT
mutates much more than they said or thought and so there are successive waves. No doubt that there is some cross cover BUT not good enough for the old and cruddy typical ABers
As ever the truth lies somewhere between boggle-eyed lunacy and panic merchants.
Last winter they forcast a massive flu outbreak, it didnt happen, we are being told the same again on the news this morning? Its almost like hearing an add for maccies.
The majority of people I know around me who are all jabbed up have gone downhill in the last 18 months, lots of chronic conditions getting worse, an outbreak of osteoarthritis in the knees, hips. Autoimmune conditions, fibromyalgia worsening, tiredness, vertigo, shingles, long covid, then constant re infections with covid, this is just a group of people in my workplace. I am covering for a few yet me the unjabbed was told I would be dead by last winter.
Odd mrscheese....I know lots of people aged 50-90 and there still fine after all the jabs.....even though there 2 years older and have had ops postponed. Many have caught covid in the last year but have shook it off as it had mild impact 's.
Maybe your friends are older and have more underlying problems or error just unlucky
hi Mrs Cheese !
were we talking about secret mods and anti vaxxers' lies?
here we are
Mrs Cheese's frenz, have been VERY unlucky and there is no evidence you will be like them. Some of Mrs Cheese's frenz she tells me have been turned into frogs by vaccination and no amount of kissing turns them back into the Princes they once were. Others died screaming on the end of the needle! no video in the public interest. A third section died intestate and their relatives had moved in and sold the house before they were COLD in the coffin. They ignored the knocking sounds from the coffin. Interesting village

There are VERY large series of vaccinations and side effects, which shows they are safe. Once again it is your decision
