Usually they are reliable but no sign of him today and I was waiting on an important parcel.

Rung the main Post Office and I am given about 3 or 4 phone numbers - none of them allow me to get through.

Maybe the parcel is not being delivered today and thats why you haven't seen the postman

tracked the number and it was to be delivered today and to wait in for it

the royal mail email you recieved should tell you what time they are due to deliver - normally a 4 hour window

Also I believe those emails are advisory - they may be short staffed
