Good Morning Early Birds

morning all, i hope that you are all well and whatever you may have planned goes according to it. Dependent on what the weather does, i am off to another picnic with friends, who have organised one for each Sunday of August, all i have to do is show up with my little contribution. which isn't saying much i must say. But if its anything like yesterday, which was horrendous i am not sure what I will do.

For those interested, or not I found a nice second hand console table in the Charity shop BHF, which i think will fit nicely in the hallway, its not top of the range, but at 63 quid including delivery on Tuesday, can't argue with that. That means the changes made in the flat will be finished and i can now relax and enjoy my week.
anyone have anything exciting they are doing today, or this coming week?

i got caught in the torrential rain yesterday going to BHF shop, which is over the other side of London, i had no idea it was going to be so bad weather wise, i did take my umbrella, that didn't stop me getting soaked. Its been so changeable lately, i hope today is clear for the picnic.

Not much excitement to report here other than a full day's work (overtime). With the spiralling cost of renovations, nursery costs and the need / desire to change both cars, I should be able to give up this overtime malarkey in about 10 years' time. Here's hoping.

I think Miles has the makings of another cold - we never used to get this rubbish at this time of the year xx

poor wee man, trouble is once he gets it, then likely he will pass it on....

it's beginning to brighten up a little, some blue sky for the moment,
that will be great if it stays that way.
the birdies apart from Lcg, who's working must still be asleep, seeing its early, i can't say i blame you at all.

i have been awake for what seems an age, had my coffee, and you are right the saga of the table is finally i hope at it's close. It looks pretty similar to the one that was in the hallway, and now sits pride of place in the living room. I didn't intend buying second hand, but at least this time i got to see it first, unlike the other one that came flat packed from USA. That has gone to my charity people Brights Sparks.

Bobbi is planning a trip to London. She’s so excited.

would be lovely to meet her, i wonder where they are staying and what they will be doing....

She’s going to see a Classical Spectacular at the Royal Albert Hall. It was all decided in a rush last night when some of us were watching the Proms. She’s posted for help in organising travel/hotels in Travel.

will ask my brother for advice, he had a trip to AHall and they stayed in a hotel near by.... by all accounts it wasn't expensive etc.

Morning all, not a great night's sleep - see that we have landed two more golds overnight..... Quite nice outside, need to look at the forecast!
