If One Was Going To Have A Bad Reaction

to the Covid Vaccination would it happen immediately, i had my jab yesterday morning, seemed fine, then last night had the worse three hours where i was continually shaking, teeth chattering the whole works. Could it be down to the vaccination?

I was told the shaking was a symptom of body shock and in my case with the flu jab a delayed allergic reaction to a vaccine ingredient.

My daughter who has been shielding told me that during the night of her jab she woke up freezing cold and then later was boiling hot. She was fine the next day.

oh PS the REALLY bad reaction....anaphyllaxis..... happens quickly after ingestion of the trigger, whatever it is, which is why people were being asked (not sure if they still are) to stay at the vac centre for 15 minutes post jab

i am going to a ECV session today woof, and they are deliberately giving the OAZ Jab so that people dont have to hang around

Indeed - it's only with the Pfizer jab that they have to keep an eye on you for 15 minutes. With the Oxford one you just get up and go - it was brilliant!

Yes you can get up and go after the AstraZenica jab but I was told you must not drive for 15 minutes. You could wait in the vaccination centre or just wait in your car but they were quite insistent about it.

We have to wait for 15 minutes after Astravenica. Waited in car and told to beep the horn if there were problems.

I was told nothing like that - just jumped in car and drove off.

as mentioned it was vaccination, then given the leaflet, then shown the door, no hanging around..

I had the AZ jab, no problems. The nurse mentioned paracetamol and the leaflet was very informative about after effects and treatments. I have had the shaking thing a few times in the past. It just means your temperature has gone up. I always take dispersible aspirin and wait for it to pass. Very frightening the first time though, so you have my sympathy Emmie.

I had first Pfizer last week, no reaction at all.

i was on the news briefly - ish - "hundreds of thousands of side effects reported - all minor" ten million have been given ...

After the AZ vaccination:
Slept most of the following day.
Loss of appetite for a few days (OH the same).
Raised blood pressure for about a week (now back to pre-jab levels).
Slight flu-like symptoms for 3-4 days. (OH the same).

Yep my mum had the same reaction, and she's 100 years old, didn't make a fuss.

My incredibly fit MIL had the jab last week and she had a bad reaction. Ended up in bed for 48 hrs with what she describes as severe flu. Totally fine now, but I’m having the jab on Tuesday so not really looking forward to it now.

emmie - just heard from my cousin who got her jab on Friday - she has had the Covid but was told you can have the vaccination 28 days after recovering - she took extreme bad reaction yesterday - she said it felt like the Covid again, but feels great today. so hope that helps you.

I had mine last Saturday, all fine, early hours of Sunday I woke up and was very sick, Sunday and Monday had flu symptoms, very hot, aching with a bad headache. I stayed in bed, felt very tired, woke up Tuesday, felt fine, all symptoms gone. Nurse who gave me the jab did say I might feel 'fluy' for a couple of days and she was right. I had the Oxford Astra Zenica vaccine, would rather have the couple of days of feeling rough than Covid

I had the AZ, took paracetamol for a couple of days just in case and apart from a slight wooziness after a day or so I was fine. Had to wait fifteen minutes before driving.
