I started to feel really tired about 6 hours after the jab then over the next few hours got every side effect you could imagine. Spent the next two days in bed then improved but felt tired for the next couple of days. I'm fine now but dreading the next dose!!!!
I had a headache & a few unusual joint pains (pricking) the following day but soon felt OK.

we didn't get time to read the leaflet in the surgery, as we were ushered in given the jab, asked if we had any questions, i did about side effects but was told all the info was in the leaflet... then ushered out the side door. so i read it when i got home...
Had the Pfizer one, the jab hurt more than the flu jab, but that may have been the person doing it, sore are after for a couple of hours.
Emmie, those are exactly the symptoms I've seen, starting 12-24 hours after the jab. They mostly seem to last up to 48 hours. (That's just a personal observation, not science).
I usually suffer when I have the flu jab, sore arm, flu like symptoms. So was dreading my Pfizer jab, but I had no reaction at all. Really surprised.

pixie, couldn't stop the shaking, teeth chattering, i hope it doesn't return, quite frightening.
I had the Oxford Astrazenica jab yesterday which was totally painless, which I think is down to the Doctor/Nurse giving it. Slight problem with heart rhythm last night but that’s not unusual for me, apart from that all seems good. I feel sorry for the folk who suffer with side effects, but I think most people don’t so please don’t be deterred from having the vaccine.
Hopefully not now, emmie. Sounds like that part has resolved. Maybe take a couple of paracetamol before you go to bed later, if you are worried.
I am not surprised with the " Teeth Chattering" in this case.
We had ours a few days ago.
I don't have room for any more symptoms to show up, as I have them all permanently :-(
Mrs T complained of all of the things mentioned here earlier, but she still wouldn't let go of her purse!
I was actually asked what medication I was taking before being given mine. No reaction from either of my jabs. Can't praise Brighton hospital highly enough
Emmie at least you'll know next time that it will pass and is nothing to worry about. May I suggest (as I might well be the same) that some of your symptoms will have been made worse by anxiety about what was happening to you.
Emmie, I’ve heard other people describe exactly that reaction. I shouldn’t worry about it. I've not heard anyone say it returns.
Prudie, that's partly why I suggested paracetamol tonight. Knowing you have already taken something for the shivery, fevery bit, might help.
this is nothing to do with the jab emmie - but when I got my two back teeth removed 2 weeks ago - again first time ever - I fitted on the bed - heart pumping out of me, head shaking and shoulders up and down on the bed. The wee assistant was holding me down - first time ever for me. Went home and studied the numbing agents that I willingly wanted from the dentist and apparently whatever is in "chemicals" like that can cause the shaking etc. I was fine next day. So try and not worry and I do think you will be ok tomorrow.

Ps - Sister got it last Wed or Thursday and she has been great - I hope so - will see her later on. You will be ok emmie.
My reaction to the AstraZenica was delayed for a couple of days. I slept all day the day afterwards and then a couple of days after that had temperature, headache and fluey, and also the trots. OH had no reaction whatsoever! However it was nothing like my reaction to the Flu Jab in 2019, which was a nightmare (and I had the shakes with that one) I think reactions can be different for all of us. Just rest up Emmie.
I often react to the flu jab and there is always a gap between the jab and the reaction....usually 6 to 9 hours.
teeth chattering and shaking is indicative of a high temperature which will be made better with paracetamol that will bring your temp down (did the leaflet not say any of this?? - pretty poor leaflet if not!) I would be inclined to take paracetamol anyway, to prevent the symptoms next time.
