Ok, so I saw breast doctor/surgeon in breast clinic yesterday. He said I won’t get official mammogram/ ultrasound results for 3 weeks as they have to be looked at by two separate doctors, but that he’d had a look himself and In his opinion he is 99% sure I do not have the ‘C’ word. If anything shows up I will get a phone call, so no news is good news at the moment. He thinks it could be hormones. He couldn’t find the lump yesterday and tbh I couldn’t really find it tho he did admit I was v tender in that area. Suggested in meanwhile starting to take Evening Primrose oil. Fingers crossed his initial diagnosis is correct,
Thanku you all for being so supportive for me in my paranoid moments x

the ex suffered from dense tissue in the boob department and had some scary moments....could be that (if you are on the firm-large size)....?
Evening primrose oil is said to help menopausal symptoms. Wether this is so I don't know but I did take it along with "menopace" and symptoms did lessen. Also reportedly useful in breast pain but as far as I can see nothing definitive in this respect

Apparently EPO is also good for breast pain. Well it’s not going to do any harm in taking it is it.
Great news smow - I hope the docs 99% sure puts your mind at rest x
So happy to hear your (hopefully) good news, I have a feeling it will go well
I still remember the awful week I spent a few years ago waiting for the result of a biopsy - and the relief when I got the all clear
Good luck!

Thanku for all your kind words x
Smow, stay as sweet as you are and brush all negative remarks under the carpet :0)))
99% surety is great news. So very pleased for you.
I think when you feel a limp, probably innocent, you can't help but feel for it, making the area tender, so then it feels worse.

Is it true that cancerous lumps tend to be painless?
It's human nature to be scared and panic when something potentially life threatening is suspected.

I bet you will be glad when the docs finally confirm that it is hormonal.

That's great news smow!
Boobi if that's aimed at me you are well off the mark because I was trying to assure smow that because she was not offered a biopsy they must be pretty sure it's not malignant. What's negative about that?
No APG, not you at all, in fact I've always admired the way you say it as it is
If the lump couldn't be found then, unless it showed on a scan, where would they biopsy? I'm not saying that in a negative way at all, just why where there might not have been a biopsy. But it's good if they didn't find/see anything they needed to biopsy.

It sounds really positive smow, I'm so glad for you. I hope you can relax a bit now that is all over Xx

I’ve not taken any comments as negative at all, and appreciate every one of them. X
I think I'd go into panic mode and reach for a drink , gripped with fear like Smow did
I'm not necessarily talking about this thread Smow, I'm not , anyway it's good news now
I'm sure the doctor would not have said that if there was doubt in his mind. I wouldn't call worrying about a lump in your breast as being paranoid. Been there myself, fortunately only a cyst but I know the feeling.
Bobbi // No APG, not you at all,//
No problem Bobbi -still wryly smiling a bit at my spelling mistake of your name at 20.47...considering the subject of the OP. :-)
