Hair Problems

How's everybody coping with their hair, in these lock down days? I have not been to a hairdressers since last November and, thankfully, my hair is now long enough to tie back and up so it's not driving me to distraction.

How about you? How're you getting on?

I had to dye the grey out. I also dyed most of the bathroom.

I used to hate going to the hairdressers. Now I miss it.

I only go to a hairdresser once a year for an inch or so off so not bothering me, mine is long anyway but my husband is beginning to look like a guy frightener.

I’m ahead of the game in this respect as I stopped dying it years ago and never get it cut (my sons, on the other hand, are suffering - boy #1 shaved all of his hair off but boy #2 and thing 2 look like bog brushes).

One of the (very few) advantages of being on chemotherapy is that one's hair stops growing. I now only have to shave once in a blue moon and what little hair I started with on the top of my bonce is either exactly the same as it was weeks ago or lying on the bathroom floor ;-)

My roots need doing. I already had a home dye kit from before I started going to the hairdresser to have it done. When I told husband I was going to do it myself again he swore he couldn’t see a single grey, and that there was no point anyway as I won’t be going anywhere for ages.
Could do with a blow dry too.

I had my hair cut into a short pixie cut and it’s beginning to drive me batty as it’s getting too long for the short style.
I don’t have any grey hair so that doesn’t bother me at all.

I don't have any grey, and just by pure luck, I had quite a major haircut before all of this, so it should be fine for a while :-)

I had a few fresh light streaks put in my hair in February. Still looks ok, but a few grey hairs around ears. I keep one of those coloured sprays for that. I have long hair, so I usually tie a bit up and the rest down.

Had a ‘holiday’ haircut before I was supposed to fly on March 17th, got quite thick hair so it’s getting heavy as it grows very quickly, as for colour? I’ve gone silver and proud :0)

I don't dye my hair. Though it's the auburn version of grey...people say I'm blonde-ish. I go at it with scissors with fingers crossed. It's wavy and layered so maybe I'll get away with it ...

I've always cut my children's hair, and nobody dyes theirs, so we'll manage. Although my youngest son changed his from long to short ... so will see...

Husband’s hair is all over the place. He’s over 70 and not very fit so is in strict lockdown. As he’s not going out and no one is seeing him - except me - he’s doing b all. Driving me a bit mad. He could at least comb it.

Stopped shaving about two weeks ago because hair was a mess. Now look like something the cat dragged in.

I have never dyed my own hair, so texted my hairdresser to ask what colour I should buy. I sent her a photo of the box, she replied the colour was a little different to what I normally had, and was likely to turn my grey hair orange or pink!!!!!!! When I told her I was no longer going to use the dye, she very kindly offered to make up my usual colour and leave it on her garden wall for me to collect. I had to enlist the help of my 17 year old son to do the back, but the result is amazing. She wouldn't take any money, so I left her a bunch of roses. I have a bob without a fringe, so can cope with the length.

No problems here, trimmer at the ready in the drawer, gets cut to 1/2" every couple of months; mind you the 'footpath' leading to the 'pond' on the top of my head is getting more like a motorway leading to a lake. :((

Back in January I decided to stop dying my hair, so the grey growth is most welcome at the moment. My appointment for a trim next week has been postponed until the end of May but I’m OK with that as I can just tie my hair up, my son on the other hand is starting to look like Cousin It
