Obviously being taken very seriously - just received an e-mail (via church) from the Church of Scotland General Assembly giving advice about communion services eg no handshaking, no sharing the communion cup, only partaking of communion wine if it is in individual glasses and of course, handwashing. Think we'll hear a lot more on the subject as time passes.

Drink this wine it's not exactly blood but I have had a bit of a sniffle......
nice to hear they are being sensible
I remember going to a service where the vicar dipped the wafer into the wine and then gave it to the communicant. This was years ago and a good idea now.
Not much of a breakfast though. :-)
I bet it doesn't stop them passing round the collection plate though. ( no offence to anyones belief)
All this is common sense and the sort of hygiene we should ordinarily be observing.
Better to say imagine the wafer and wine like you do your god....
If it's a matter of belief...
good that they are being cautious...
