I have finished the increased dose of antibiotics and whilst no where near as bad, my gland is still swollen and my throat a tad sore.
Do I go back and see the friendly witch doctor or do I leave it and see if it improves a few days down the line?
TIA

See the Doc.
I agree, the doc knows best.
best person to advise you is your own doctor.
Glands can take a while to settle, if you feel somewhat better then wait a while.

That's what I would do.
This happens quite a lot....antibiotics finish and one is ALMOST better.

if it were me.........I would monitor the situation for another week.

We are still guessing at the diagnosis...bacterial or viral or Glandular fever.

My instincts tell me that you will be fine without another dose of antibiotics.
