I wouldn't mind a chat. Just talk about stuff an problems.
Bit worried about darts being thrown.
Suffer depression.
Just want to chat.
Stuff happening. Lots.
Don't want sympathy, just a chat.
Maybe this is a bad idea.
Sorry if it is.

Many thanks everybody.
Global warming? Why don't they put double glazing in these dumps that are, "Part of our heritage, " and must be preserved for future generations.
What about THIS generation? Me?
Personally I would like to see them all pulled down.
So much for the folk running English Heritage and the arty farty BBC 4 aficionados who live in warm houses, and write books etc on our glorious history and architecture. Corduroy, elbow pads and dusty books.
I had a listed house once (I rented it out) I`d never buy listed again. Pain in the ***

I bet!
Just so aristocrats can believe their rules are doing some good.
We lived in a huge (rented) listed house for a year - it didn’t have any central heating and was even cold in summer (there were two staircases and I kept losing the kids) - it was awful.
Think Ive just stepped in to the twilight zone...
It's incredible they can rent these properties out without a care for the tenants health and well-being.
Theland are you sure you are getting all the financial benefits you're entitled to, first that springs to mind is is your wife claiming carers allowance for you. Don't know if CAB could help you or mind.
As for your GP you need to visit him again, maybe your drugs are no longer the best and most appropriate for you and ask to see different phychologist.
With regards to your move, although you cannot help out physically, you can give encouragement, make the tea, just thinking out loud.
But you will be far better of somewhere less cold and draughty which must be a positive.
Hello! Here for you!! X
Moving is soooo stressfull but a warmer cosier wee house will be so much better for your COPD! Imagine!?

I have a doggie but I adore siamese cats the ones with the blue eyes!? Or a wee grey cat, thats what i’d like!!

Try not to feel inadequate about not being able to help. There are things you can do that I cant & vice versa!!! Makes the world go round!

Xxx
Are you well tinker bell ?
not so depressed that you haven't time to be nasty about English Heritage and the BBC, then.
Hi anne.....
Ups & downs. Still some physical effects but hopefully will end soon!!!!!!!! Ive said that so many times lol.... thanks for asking xx
Good...... time does help. ( all be it slowly ).
Wow, jno, totally uncalled for.

I'm guessing Theland's views on those matters don't tally with your own but this thread is about Theland's declining health and mental wellbeing and is definitely not an invitation to make personal digs.
LadyCG, as I read the OP, he's worried about "darts being thrown" at him. Yet he's happy to throw darts at others. Whether I agree with him is neither here nor there; I just suspect he might be happier if he could sort out his own confrontational approach. "First cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."

Don't think JNO gets the moral issue here, LadyCG. We have to live according to our lights, don 't we?

Nonetheless it's nice to see him quoting the Gospels.
We all throw darts from time to time but there is a time and a place for doing so. Let's not kick a man when he's down.
The change to Pension Credit (PC)takes effect from 15.5.18. It affects couples where one of them is under pension age but it applies ONLY to NEW awards from or after that date.

Those currently getting PC will NOT be affected unless a change of circumstances ends the current award and a new PC claim is made and awarded from or after 15th May.

Sorry to see you're feeling down TL. It looks to me that your residence is not helping, A move to a smaller, more modern dwelling I'm sure would be a big help.

I don't know where you are, so I don't know if we can meet, if we can I'd be glad to help if I can.
sorry to hear you are not feeling too bright... a move, although it feels overwhelming, may be for the better, given your health..do what you can, but do not feel bad that you can't do more..people do understand...good advice from others regarding finances... new home..new start.. hope you feel better soon xx
