I wouldn't mind a chat. Just talk about stuff an problems.
Bit worried about darts being thrown.
Suffer depression.
Just want to chat.
Stuff happening. Lots.
Don't want sympathy, just a chat.
Maybe this is a bad idea.
Sorry if it is.

Tell me about your pet, if you have one.
Not a bad idea at all, what's happening Theland that's worrying you so much? x
Theland, if you can leave your religious animosity out of it, I'd be willing to chat all night if needs be towards someone suffering from depression.
Chatting is a good idea - is there anything to be done about the stuff happening?

If not then it must be handled the best way you can - if there is help then reach out and grab it.
*THELAND*….
Where are you?

My pet? 4 cats. 2 Ragdolls and a moggie and a Siamese.
One Ragdoll is 12 and a bag of bones. Other is 10 and stays in the bedroom 24 / 7. Gets into bed with me.
Moggie is 13 and healthy but slowing down.
Siamese is 2. Lost our other Siamese last Easter. 16 months old, hit by a car. Now other cats apart from Moggie are all house cats, and I love them .

Can't cope with stress these days.
Missus looked at another house to get out of this cold mould infested listed house. Expensive and rubbish.
Thoughts of another house move are causing me anxiety. And the money. Vetting, deposit, advance rent, moving costs, you know the score.
Will cope, no problem there, just the upset.

Health problems don't help.
COPD and Crohns, hardly get up the stairs.
Upheaval can be very unsettling, but list the good things - a better, drier property will be better for you all.
Theland, you discussed any of this with ur doctor? (stress etc)?
Maybe a bungalow would suit better?

Or somewhere with a downstairs bed and bathroom.
Question Author
I can see the positives. Just hope we get the house and then all over.
I can't help with a move. Need to rely on family. Just the feeling of inadequacy.
Is it worth speaking to your council about housing for vulnerable seniors?
They helped my mother in law in vaguely similar circumstances.
Word of practical advice regarding moving. I don't know your financial situation but since you aren't very well this might apply to you.
If you get Pension Credit as a couple and you are both over pensionable age, this doesn't apply to you, but if you get Pension Credit and therefore LHA ( Housing Benefit) then rules are changing as of May this year, and if there is any change ( eg you move) you would have to claim Pension Credit singularly and your wife would have to claim Universal Credit- it's set to cost some people the absolute earth, so just be canny if it does apply to you and head off trouble if you can. x

Can't afford a bungalow. All doctor does is give me more Citalopram. Sent me to a Kiwi Psycholgist who always wore brown shoes, and the result was I kept giving him the answers he wanted to hear.
It didn't help.

Hop and Call - Many thanks. Will follow that up. Really appreciate it.
please don't feel inadequate. Easy said, I know.
Please try to think of the positives about moving to a house where you, Mrs The and moggies and other pets will be warm and content.

Try writing a list for family and friends to do to help with the move x
The land, why did you give him the answers you thought he wanted to hear, rather than tell him how you feel?
Theland, my heads not in the best of places right now (with my mums illness and everything) BUT I do understand depression and how shrinks arnt always very helpful etc.(God knows Ive been there) If you want to contact me off site then please do so. My 'throwaway' email is [email protected]
I know that we disagree intensly on certain subjects but I can empathise with feelings of despair/depression etc

Aw, Theland. I moved out of my damp, draughty listed property, and it’s the best thing I’ve done in a long while.

I’m so warm and cosy and don’t have to have the heating belting out most of the time.

It’ll be worth it.
