Apart from ebay, where could i get some fake flowers that aren't cheap looking? I was thinking of wood or paper flowers as they would suit the look i'm going for!

Don't know where you live but they always have stalls selling them at the Ideal Home Exhibition in London. Perhaps you could look up the stall holders on the Earls Court website?
