Tuesday. Wall to wall cloud about this morning. Not too chilly though. I was going to take snowflake walkies, she looked at me as if to say You're on your own pal. I'm staying here! and promptly went back to sleep. Can't blame her really.
I'm off to Stroud to pick up something I ordered. Then it's spoil snowflake until mum and dad pick her up this afternoon. If it's not too late I'll take some more money up to the hospice. If it is can wait until tomorrow.

then back in on Saturday day shift

Good morning, seems a bit milder this morning. Need to get out early today as there will be no power to the lifts this afternoon while electricians are working, also no cable or tv connection. Luckily we will have power in the flats. I hope they finish by 4 pm. As promised. Sainsbury are delivering between 5 and 6.

Good morning all.

Off to the hospital today to see if they have any luck getting OH's blood sample. Her arm is still badly bruised after the failed attempt at the surgery.

She also needs to sign some papers (she will) to agree to extend the clinical trial on the experience of post-cancer sufferers who took part in taking a new drug for a year after the end of their normal treatment. She's pretty sure she was given a placebo at the time but I guess some patients had to.

Plodding along, made my Christmas cake yesterday because it needs a lot of feeding.
Generally lower than I had been, reality is setting in. I can understand why people jump back into relationships too soon after losing a loved one. It's the empty space and hours you didn't realise had been taken up with couple stuff.

I know exactly what you mean with the second part of that. It's called loneliness. That's when you find out who your good friends are.

I know, and I have been lonely in relationships as well I don't really like bothering my friends too much as they are mostly younger with busy lives. I go out as much as I can, talk to strangers, mostly old ladies who are also on their own. Hearing some interesting stories at least.
