Bang on nine thirty five baby hog is up onto the patio and into the feeding station....same time every night...

He's getting so big I'll need to find a larger basket for the food or he'll be stuck....but it's so lovely to watch him....

Bit of knitting now and back out for big hog at about eleven....blissful evenings... :-)

Check this out, gness.
I saw two hedgepigs who were roadkill in the space of a mile a few days ago. Very sad. Well done for looking after them. We used to get them coming into our garden from the field next door, but then it was built on, so no more :-(
Lazy evening, after long hot bath. The cat I am supposed to be sitting has gone to bed already. Did you mean to wind people up and leave them to it....

Oh, Tony...I saw that earlier and have watched and watched it...the bit where she bats him off her ear is priceless!

I have waited six years for hogs to arrive, Zacs....couldn't believe it when I got three but the slightly dippy one seems to have vanished. It is lovely watching baby hog grow...x

Honestly, Rowan.....I wasn't winding up. I found AB in a muddle of being on my own and needing help. I have made some wonderful friends here and I enjoyed the discussions even though I didn't always join in. It's so frustrating to see someone post and know exactly the comments that are going to come.....
I miss the banter I had with TWR...but he no longer posts....a victim of what I was saying earlier...x
Last time I looked they were still at it
I love Hedgehogs.
There are so nasties on here Gness right enough but I've fond this site to be a rock of lovely folks the couple of times I've really needed them x

You didn't name your 'liars and fantasists' jordy the other day.
Let’s not pollute a thread about a rather cute endangered species with all this talk of Malifluent Sevens and naughtynstep lists, eh?
(I didn’t mean ‘malifluent’, did I?)
Lovely images you speak of Gness and love the video Tony x

I have looked at that so many times, Mamya.....it's just wonderful.....

I've checked the feeding station and had to top up for big hog.....may have to ration baby....he's greedy!
Bit worried about middle hog....he didn't seem to have much sense and I've not seen him for a while now...

Simple pleasures, eh?....... :-)
The best.
Hedgehogs, et al, are far more 'grounding' than most people.

Ahhh....I hear big hog at the bottom of the garden....he's such a noisy plodder.....baby hog just scurries with purpose.....big hog is more laid back..he saunters up the garden like it's his...... :-)
Question Author
Indeed, Tilly...couldn't you just hug them!!!
Did I ever tell you that I once belonged to a wildlife rescue organisation and had a garage full of baby hedgehogs to rear to a decent size, before releasing them?
Bit prickly for hugs
Question Author
Wow, Tilly! I didn't know that......how fantastic!

C'mon Rowan......bet you've know a few men more prickly than a hog! ;-)
It was fantastic. I have some lovely photos of me kissing them goodbye on their release. :-)
